Kim Seokjin - The perfect example of a hyung!

Kim Seok - Jin is the eldest member of the boy band BTS, he is popularly known as Jin (his stage name). He is one of the vocalists and visual of the group although often appreciated for his falsetto and emotional range in music. He along with his other BTS has members has been awarded the fifth class Hwagwan Order of Cultural Merit one of the most prestigious awards of South Korea by the South Korean President for their contributions to the Korean Culture. 

While still in junior high school, he was approached by SM Entertainment, and he had even auditioned and cleared the first round, although when he reached to the second round, he rejected the offer thinking it was a scam. Later on while he was studying acting, he was scouted by Big Hit Entertainment while walking down the street and  the starting Kim Seokjin had joined Big Hit Entertainment as an actor but later on became an idol trainee and finally in the year 2013 he debuted as a member of BTS alongside Kim Namjoon, Min Yoongi, Jung Hosoek, Park Jimin, Kim Taehyung and Jeon Jungkook. 

Kim Seokjin also popularly known as WWH (World Wide Handsome) has been awarded with the title of the world's most handsome face many a times, but he is not only about stunning visuals but much more, he is also a very talented sports person who is good at snowboarding, tennis and golf. And as already mentioned he is often appreciated for his music and high notes that he sings, but do you all know what is the best thing about Jin, it is his loving and caring nature towards his band members and the others. Time and again he is referred as the 'mom' of the group, and while some fans are happy with the title given to him, some are not. But there is a reason why he is called as the mom of the group.

When BTS had debuted, the maknaes (younger members) Jimin, V and Jungkook all were not more 15 and 17 years old, who had left their families behind in order to become trainees at Big Hit Entertainment. And he being the eldest of the group, took it as his responsibility to look after the younger members, he along with leader RM made sure to prepare lunch for them, take them school and teach them how become good human beings. He and leader RM have played their roles of being the eldest and the leader of the group very sincerely and perfectly. 

He has never misused his position as the elder of the group, instead he has always tried to understand his members and where they are coming from. He makes sure only to use his position of being an elder when it comes to help his teammates from any situation, like Kim Taehyung says, "Jin uses the hyung card and talks to the company when it is a matter of sensitive issue regarding them," Also he shares a very playful and comfortable relationship with his band mates, he never acts like the eldest instead along with the maknaes especially the golden maknae Jungkook, they are exactly like Tom and Jerry when together, thus earning the name 'Psuedomaknae'. 

Jin is one of those people, who makes you fall in love with your senior as well, who is not only understanding but will also try their best to match your pace. He even though admired for his singing is not a very good dancer, and till 2016 he was not even given a center position in the choreography, but during their performance of song Fire he had left everyone flabbergasted with his amazing dancing skills. Even till date, he says that he needs to perfect his dance moves more in order to be perfect and be fast like his band mates. This shows his down earth nature, and the fact he never takes his position of being the eldest as a joke.  

And this is the very reason why not only his band mates but also his fans love him so much because he is the perfect example of a hyung (elder brother) and also a senior, who never takes his seniority for granted, instead always makes sure to look out for others, take care of them and understand and support them without an ounce of arrogance of being the eldest.
